Part 2 is Added

Part 2 of the Needle's Nest Anniversary Sampler has now been added.  Took much longer than it should have, had visit from the green aphibian….

Stitching Happily and then.......

I ran out of fibres!   I suppose I shouldn't complain as I won this kit at our ANG meeting a few months ago.....but darn it!

I really wanted to just start and complete it in one day, but as you can see, there weren't nearly enough fibres in the kit.  I did have the white and red ribbon at home, but not the blue and all the shops were closed since it was late afternoon on a Sunday.  And I have too much going on to take a run to any shop on Monday or Tuesday!

I have ordered the fibre and it will be here in a few days.....but darn, I hate waiting!

February Progress, March Goals

Although I had good progress this month, I always wish it was better!  I did have 4 finishes (the last three of the Crazy January Challenge) plus one more.  I also made a lot of jam, so that cuts into my stitching time, and I drove down to Carbondale and back, so two days of hardly any stitching.  March will be better!

My Oldest WIP

Here it is, my oldest WISP......doesn't look like much, does it?  It is Heirloom Christmas Sampler by Victoria Sampler, started on 3-25-2007.  I am doing it in the red/green colorway.   Why has it been sitting around waiting for me for so long?   Well, I think I needed the scroll bars for something else with a tight deadline, and then I just never got back to it!

My plan is to work on this until the end of the year (not much time!) and then work on it periodically during the year, and hopefully make some good progress on it by the end of the year, or should I dare to dream of it being finished sometime in 2019?

I pulled it out last night, and spent quite a bit of time sorting out all my scroll bars and trying to figure out which length I should put these one.  I also read the instructions again.  Today was rather busy, but I did read some more, then pulled out a bunch of stitches and stitched for about 30 minutes.....not much, but it is progress......

Please be my cheering section on this one and keep me motivated to get a good chunk of it done!

Part 8 Finish

  I just finished Part 8 of the Linens and Threads 2017 Mystery Sampler.  I know, I am a little behind....but I am enjoying the stitching.  Only 4 more parts to go on this one.

I am stitching it on 25 count Lugana Vintage Country Mocha, over one fabric thread with one strand of Valdani floss.  I am using the Autumn Quaker thread pack.

July Progress and August Goals

Well, I did a good amount of stitching in July, but I had no finishes.  I mainly stitched on Dreaming of Tuscany, and I am almost done!  I did however, get 3 things on my finishing list finished, and started 2 more!

WIP Wednesday 7-4-2018

Here we are, Wednesday again and time to show you my progress.  Even though it has been a busy week, I did get some quality stitching time in and I am quite happy with the progress.  I have been stitching on this piece for 5 1/2 weeks now and I feel that the end is in sight.

WIP Wednesday 6-20-2018

And it's Wednesday again!   I am at the 3 1/2 week mark, but this past week, I had to do the emergency model stitching project, so I lost 5 days of stitching on this piece.  I did make some progress, though.  I have finished 3 out of 6 pages, but one of the pages left to do is solidly stitched, more stitching than any of the other pages.....I will keep on going! 

This coming weekend I have a Needlepoint class both Saturday and Sunday, so I will lose two more days of stitching on this piece, but at least there is steady progress!

WIP Wednesday 6-13-2018

Another week has gone by, and it is now 2 1/2 weeks since I started on this piece.  I am happy with the progress but still have a long way to go.

October Spider Stitching

Yes, I know, they don't look like much, but they will be spiders once they are finished-finished.  I plan on doing 4 total, and three are now stitched.  The fun part about this is the plaid.  It is fun to stitch and you can change colors to suit whatever you are doing. 

WIP Wednesday, 8-2-2017

I have been steadily working on the Santa Train Stocking by Stoney Creek all week, and will continue for awhile.  It may not look like much progress since last Wednesday, but with all the color changes and details and metalics, I really did get a lot stitched. 

Page 3 is Finished!

 I started La grill mystere du Gand Marquoir at the beginning of last year.  I love stitching on it, but so many other things have needed my attention.  I pulled it out again and finished page three today. 

This is being stitched on 25 count antique white Lugana, over one fabric thread with one strand of Gloriana. 

I am now officially half done!

A New Start

A challenge on one of my facebook stitching groups calls for a new start on the 17th of each month.  So I started this......

An Early Morning

 Since retirement, I rarely get up before the crack of 8 or 9 or even 10 am.  But today, I got up at 6:30!  I had to be in Crystal Lake for a class with Nancy Cucci by 8 am.  Thanks to all the people that forgot how to drive when there is snow on the sidewalk, I was a little late, but I got there!

 This is my piece at the end of the class (5 and 1/2 hours of class).  I am quite pleased with the progress!

The class was called Pacific Heart and was pilot class for Nancy.  She will be teaching this at the national seminar this summer, and we were the group that got to be her 'test run', we get to stitch the project and make sure there are no errors in the chart, etc.  We only found two very minor type-oes so far.  It is a lovely project, and all of Nancy's designs are a joy to stitch.

This is the Santa Train Stocking I should have been working on all year.....well I was doing well until I hit a stitching slump, and now here it is only a short time until Christmas.  Still hoping to get it done in 2016!

Got some stitching time in this week.  I am working on the Superheroes Alphabet.  I would like to get it finished so it can be framed and given to my little Justin for Christmas.  Hope to have it done next week.

I am plugging away on my little Justin's Superhero alphabet birth sampler.  Just started the letter S so it is moving right along and I hope to have it finished soon!  It is rather hard to get motivated as I have stitched this one before, but I am almost done.
