On Day 30 I started this hardanger runner with daisies on it.  I have stitched it before, and most of it is fun to stitch.  I just forgot how much I hate doing button hole edges

On Day 29, Part 3 of the Spring Quilt Block was released, so I had to stitch it right away!

On Day 27, Debbee's Designs posted the second part of her Spring Quilt Block so I stitched it up right away, and then I frogged some of it and stitched some more

Air Conditioning still out...waiting for a part....not much stitching, but I started the Penguin Ugly Sweater

Stitch Maynia Day 24

Day 24 was a bit hectic!  I made some jam....and then drove 2 jars to Marguerite's House for her birthday.   (It's a long ride!)

I did find a little time to stitch instead of sleeping......and I started the April bunny Sweater of the new Handblessings Design series: Cutest Little Ugly Holiday Sweaters.  Only the first three have been released, but they are oh so cute!

Stich Maynia Day 23 - 2 Finishes!

 On Day 23 I started and finished Got Luck? by Plum Street Designs, but I made some changes.  I used my choice of greens, and I recharted the bottom to read "good luck" instead of "got luck?"

I also finished the Nutcracker Gingerbread person

Stitch Maynia Day 22

On Day 22 I started the Spring Quilt Block by Debbee's Designs.  This is one of the HUM (Holed Up Minis) from ANG.  Unfortunately, on that web site, there is only the chart which is very hard to read.  Luckily, Debbie is stitching this on her blog, and is giving stitch diagrams, and it will be much better to follow along and stitch from there.  I am doing mine on Congress cloth with #8 Perle Cotton and Caron Wildflowers.  I got part 1 stitched, and really wanted to just keep going and do the entire thing, but it is very hard to see some of the stitches on this aweful chart, so I will have to wait for the details from Debbee's Blog  

Stitch Maynia Day 21 & a Finish

On Day 21 I stitched (and finished) Part 5 of the Anniversary Band Sampler we are stitching together at our EGA Chapter.  Took way longer than it should have, had a visit from the dreaded amphibian.

Stitch Maynia Day 20 and Love Finish

This is Love is all you need, a Drawn Thread freebie.   It is charted for Gloriana silks, but I wasn't going to buy a bunch of silks for this little project, so I just winged it! 

Stitch Maynia Day 19 and a Finish!

On Day 19 I started and finished this heart on canvas.  This is the 3rd Hospice Heart that I have stitched this year.  It is a Fox Chapter ANG project for children who have lost a parent or sibling to cancer.  The hearts are given out at a camp in the summer and fall.  Don't know if the camps will happen, but if they are suspended for this year, they will be given out next year.

Stitch Maynia Day 18 & A Finish!

 Day 18 I stitched the May chart of the Stitch of the Month piece.  I am now all caught up!  The hardest part is waiting until June 1st when the next part is released!

Stitch Maynia Day 17 and Another finish!

 On Day 17 I stitched the April Chart from the ANG Stitch of the month.  This was was much quicker than the the March chart!

Stitch Maynia Day 16 and yet another finish

 Day 16 I was stitching the March chart from the Stitch of the Month Design.  This one almost did my in!  It is all variations of Smyrna stitches.....and they seem to take forever!  But, it is finally done!

Stitch Maynia Day 15 and another Finish!

 On Day 15 I stitched the February chart of the Stitch of the Month, and I finished it, too!  This is turning out to be a fun stitch!

Here are both January and February together.  If I keep going like this, I may be all caught up before you know it!

Stitch Maynia Day 14 and a Finish!

I stitched the first part (January) of the Stitch of the Month project, found on the ANG (American Needlepoint Guild) website.  Many of our Fox Chapter members started this in January, and are much further along.  A few of the members test stitched this for the designer and are already finished!  I am a bit late to the party, but, enjoyed stitching it none the less.

Stitch Maynia Day 13

No, I didn't post this twice, this is the Baby Girl Gingerbread Person.  It is pink, yesterdays start was blue for Baby Boy!  This is the last of the Gingerbread People!

On Day 12 I started this cute little Baby Boy Gingerbread Person.  Not sure about his hair color, may change that when I get to it.

Day 11 - Stitching a Leprechaun Gingerbread Person.  Only 2 more Gingerbread people to start and then I can go on to something else!

Stitch Maynia Day 10 & a Finish!

Even though I still have some Gingerbread People to stitch, I needed a change of pace.  I started a canvas piece on Day 10, Portland Revisited.

It was fun to stitch, with lots of different stitches and fibres, and in no time at all, it was finished!
I have no idea what I will do with it, perhaps make it into an ornament.

This is a free chart from ANG (American Needlepoint Guild).  It is one of their HUM projects, (Holed Up Minis).  They post a new one every Sunday.  This was the very first one they posted.  Our Chapter is stitching it together this month.

Stitch Maynia Day 9

Day 9 was a great stitching day!  A Nutcracker Gingerbread Person.  Very, very little reverse stitching, and all that is left to do is to fill in the hat and jacket with red!

Stitch Maynia Day 8

Day 8 was spent stitching on the Angel Gingerbread Person.

It was also spent driving up to Welcome Stitchery for more supplies for upcoming projects.

Stitch Maynia Day 7

On Day 7 I stitch on the Drummer Boy Gingerbread Person.  I stitched this one for Owen for Christmas, and now this one will be for me.

There was a lot of frogging involved on this one too.  I need to get that amphibian out of the house!

Stitch Maynia Day 6

Day 6 didn't go so well.  I had to rip out the same shoe at least 3 times, I don't have the color for the dress at home, and I ended up a tiny bit short on the left side......but I wasn't going to rip it all out again.  I just made it work!

On Day 5 I stitched on the Hockey Player Gingerbread Person.  Doesn't seem like a lot of progress, but I restitched those skates a number of time because I was having trouble counting

On Day 4 I stitched on the Cook Gingerbread Person....I am sure you can see a theme here...

I had made this one for my youngest grandson for Christmas, but now this one will be mine. 

Stitch Maynia Day 3

Day 3 was a great stitching day and visit from the frog!  Just a little more of the flag and this one will be done!

Stitch Maynia Day 2

On Day 2 I started the Ballerina Gingerbread Person by Handblessings Designs.  I am stitching this one for the 2nd time, the first one went to my favorite granddaughter, this one is for me.

Stitch Maynia Day 1

Day 1 didn't go so good, I spent most of the day frogging!  This design is stitched on perforated paper, and I stitched quite a bit on the wrong side!  (the color is different in each side, so I couldn't just leave it, I wanted the gingerbread color)

Oh well, at least it's a start!

This is from Handblessings Designs, the more Gingerbread People free series from 2019.  I have already stitched some of these, but gave all but 1 away at Christmas, so they are being restitched for me!

April Progress, May Goals

April seemed to go on forever!  You would think with this stay at home order, I would have gotten more stitching done.  Sadly, there were a lot of other things to get done, so although I got a lot of stitching time done, not as many finishes as I would have liked.  I did have 4 finishes: part 4 of the Anniversary Sampler, Hope of Spring, Pumpkin Harvest and a pink hat.  I made great progress on Fine Wine.

May begins a month of Stitch Maynia!  I wasn't sure if I would participate this year, but I got my WIP list down to 8, so I put together my list for Maynia and came up with 31 starts!  Yikes!  Not sure if I will get to all of them....I may start to twitch once I get half way down the list, but we shall see!
