Jonathan, do not look!
I didn't get to work on this afghan last month, but I got the two pine tree squares done this month. They were both finished in record time.
Now that the weather is getting cooler, I don't mind stitching on the afghan. When it was hot out, it was hard stitching with all that fabric on my lap.
Next month I will stitch another animal square, but I am not sure which one. Stay tuned to find out!

Love your afghan ... I am sure it will make for a cozy stitching project during the fall and winter months ... and your Northwoods theme is lovely ... I look forward to tracking your progress.
You inspire me ... I have two afghans in my stash that I bought to stitch some designs of the now defunct Celebrations magazine: one a Jacobean pattern using two alternating motifs and the other a floral pattern using as many different flowers as there were squares. While the Jacobean pattern is still to my taste, I think I'll have to find another use for the afghan I had planned to stitch with florals. Maybe some Prairie Schooler Santas or LHN houses.
This looks a great project, I have never attempted an afghan myself. The trees are a lovely shade of green.
you finally started this... I wont tell Jon... but i know it's for him :)
Yes Kirstin, I started it in August. If I stitch one square a month, he will get it next Christmas. I hope he likes it.
