On Saturday, John fell off a 10 foot ladder at the boat yard while getting the sailboat ready to go in the water. He broke both bones in his right leg near the ankle. Luckily, he had a friend with him who called 911. John had surgery on Saturday evening, and I brought him home from Racine on Sunday evening and have been running and fetching for him ever since. He has an external immobilizer on the leg and can't put any weight on it. We see the doctor Friday and make arrangements for more surgery.

Oh no! How awful. Ladders are just so dangerous. I'm glad it wasn't worse; it looks like it was bad enough. I'll be keeping y'all in my prayers for successful surgery and smooth recovery and rehab.
