Last July, Michelle and I were on the road to Branson, Missouri, to attend a retreat at Cecilia's Samplers. We planned to stop and Mom and Me 4 Ever in Bethalto, Illinois on the way. This time I called ahead to make sure they were open.
It was a lovely shop, with lots of things to tempt any stitcher, and the owner was very helpful. Michelle wanted the Crabby all Year charts, which were in stock. She didn't have all the buttons in stock, but was very happy to order them and send them to Michelle.
I managed to find a Bent Creek chart that I had never seen before! I also got the JCS Halloween
issue, wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or give it as a gift, but I ended up keeping it. I don't know why, I don't even like Halloween!

I have heard that she is going to be closing her brick and mortar shop and become an online shop. I never made it down there sorry to say.
I stitched Crabby All Year when it first came out but I didn't like the suggested buttons for December ... the panel with a blank check and "Bills!" emblazoned across the square in funky letters ... and for this they chose flower buttons. So I ordered a custom-made pair of buttons from PattiA [a 123stitcher you might be familiar with] ... she made me a piggy bank and a hammer. A couple of other folks did the same thing after I posted about on my blog and the 123 board. Just a thought.
That looks like an awesome stitching store. It has been a while since I have gone to my "not-so" LNS. It is always fun to look and touch everything, while dreaming. I am not really a Halloween fanatic, but I have loved that Halloween issue and typically find some fun things to stitch for my niece & nephew :) Enjoy!
She has closed her brick and mortar shop. The rent was getting to be too expensive, so she has done an online store. It really was a nice store.
I've been to the store. Really cute place.
I missed getting to her store before she closed it, I'm sorry to say.
