WIP Wednesday 4-29-2020

I have been stitching away on Fine Wine by Design Works.  I got quite a bit done, but I am getting tired of black and white and gray!

I have started on the face.  I am doing all the skin (face and arms) 'over 1' so it is now very slow going!

I will continue stitching on this until May 1st, when Maynia starts!

A Second Hat Finish

I made this hat for Natalie, my favorite and only granddaughter.  She just loves pink!

I am not sure if I will put a pompom on the top or something else.  I have a lot of time to decide before winter.

WIP Wednesday 4-22-2020

It's Wednesday again, I think!  It is hard to keep the days straight in this uncertain time.

Today I am stitching on Fine Wine by Design Works.  It came as a kit, but I am using evenweave instead of the aida that was included, and I am using my own DMC.  It may seem like a bit of a waste buying a kit for just the chart, but since I stitch from a working copy, it can sell the kit when I am finished.

This is one of the last two Maynia starts from last year.  It is coming along well, and I hope to have it finished someday!

And We Have a Finish!

This is Hope of Spring by Chessie & Me, stitched on the 32 count fabric that was called for, and using the Gloriana silks that were called for.  Some things were stitched 'over 1'.  I will wait until things reopen to purchase a frame, but I still have Summer and Winter to do, so I probably won't do the framing until those two are finished sometime in this decade......

WIP Wednesday 4-8-2020

I am working on Hope of Spring by Chessie & Me.  Linda Lautenschlager did 4 samplers, one for each season, that work together as a set.  I love 4 seasons pieces.  I have already finished the Fall sampler, and have winter and summer kitted up and ready to go!

I started Hope of Spring during last year's Maynia starts, and it is one of three left to finish.  It is done in silks on 32 count fabric, with lots and lots of specialty stitches.  I forgot how much I enjoy these designs!

And Part 4 is finished

I got part 4 this morning of our Needle's Nest Anniversary Band Sampler.  So I sat down to start stitching this evening and finished it in the wee hours of the morning......

WIP Wednesday

Well, I am a day late, forgot to post this yesterday.  This is Pumpkin Harvest by Rocking Horse Designs.  Another kit I have had forever!  (The Rocking Horse was sold and is now closed, that should give you some sense of how long!)

March Progress, April Goals

You would think that with this sheltering in place I would get more stitching done.  Sadly, even though I am stitching, I am not stitching more.  I guess I am just a bit too anxious and worrying....
I did have 5 finishes, 3 of them being WIP from last year's Maynia starts.  I should get another one done in the next few days, so I may just do Maynia this year after all!  My WIP list is down to 10, and will be 9 in a few days.....and I do have a number of small things to start....so we will see.
