April Flowers.......
This is the April Flower - Sweet Pea - from Ellen Maurer-Stroh's free monthly stitch a long a few years ago. I started stitching it in January of 2016, and intended to stitch one flower each month. That didn't quite work out for me.......but I finished the April flower today.
...that makes 4 done and 8 to go......
It really is a joy to stitch. Very little backstitching, and the colors blend so beautifully! I hope to get on with the May flower soon.

Page 3 is Finished!
I started La grill mystere du Gand Marquoir at the beginning of last year. I love stitching on it, but so many other things have needed my attention. I pulled it out again and finished page three today.
This is being stitched on 25 count antique white Lugana, over one fabric thread with one strand of Gloriana.
I am now officially half done!

Button, Button, Who's Got the Button?
Stopped in at JoAnn Fabrics because I had heard a rumor that they got in lots of new buttons.
There were wonderful new buttons! Mickey and Minnie, Winnie the Pooh, Beauty and the Beast, and many, many more......I wanted them all, but then wondered what I would do with them.
I just couldn't resist the gnome buttons! They are too cute. Don't know what I will do with them, but they followed me home............. The only problem is the shank in the back of the button. I will need to find way to take that off and then perhaps I will find a use for the buttons.
The fox buttons are for Miss Marguerite who will make needleminders out of them once I pick up the rare earth magnets for her.

Joyfull World Stitch-a-long Fin-ee!
Just a few months late, but it is finished! That border just about did me in....but it is done. How will I finish it? I will probably turn it into a wall hanging and hang it in my office or a classroom at German School. (after I get my sewing machine serviced)

A Wedding Gift Stitched by Me!
I can finally show you this finish! It is Bent Creek's Wedding Row. I stitched this as a wedding gift for a young lady that was one of my students and also worked for me for a few years. I changed the colors a bit, and picked it up from the framer's just in time to present to the happy couple at their wedding this past Saturday.

Mini Embelishments 1 Completely Finished!
I started this Nancy Cucci piece over a year ago, and finished the stitching and beading rather quickly. The finishing on the other hand, just didn't happen! I took it along on the retreat and made a point of working on it.
I got it all done and ornamentified! I am rather happy with the results!

Mini Embelishments 2 Finished
I have been wanting to finish stitching this fun piece for a long time, but the chart and the beads were MIA. I tore my stitching room apart, and searched all over the house but couldn't find it. A few weeks ago, my daughter found it! It had slid down between the cushions of her chair while I was visiting. She mailed it back to me, but the mail from Carbondale is incredibly slow. It took over a week to get to me. Only one long twisted bugle bead was broken, but it was an extra one, so all was good. I need to order more beads so that I can make more of this ornament.
Ornamentation will happen on a future date.

Biscornu Finish, Finished!
This cute biscornu was one of our EGA Guild projects. It is the Valentine Biscornu by Cindy Valentine, and can be found under petite projects on the EGA webside.
It is listed as a beginning hardanger project, but I would argue that it is not for beginners, but probably should be listed as an intermediate or at least advanced beginner.
Nevertheless, I stitched it (with a few minor changes) and then did the finishing yesterday.

Pumpkin Fob Finished, Finished!
Well, here it is! I got this pair of black cat scissors a few years ago and the Black Cat Stitchery retreat, and they have been nakid ever since.....until now.
I stitched up this little pumpkin a few days ago, and today we had a Saturday Session at our EGA guild where I helped other stitchers construct their own scissor fobs.

May Progress and June Goals
Well, May went by very quickly and now it's June! May was a pretty good stitching month. Just a few minutes short of 6 hours of stitching per day! And lots of good progress. I finished the last two pieces of the Crazy January Challenge! I started 16 new pieces for the 'May'nia challenge and finished 9 of those! Not sure I will be able to carve out as much stitching time in June, but I will try!
