LHN Finish

I recently finished stitching Home of a Needleworker too, by Little House Needleworks. This piece was stitched on 28 count antique white Jubilee with Cresent Colors floss.
Little House Needleworks designs are a pleasure to stitch, I have a few more kitted up that I would like to stitch soon.

The last of this year's Texas stitching

All twelve are now done, and in need of finishing. I have a few months to get this done, but Trey will have them for Christmas.

I have twelve more that I can do next year, or maybe the year after.....

A day of sailing - almost

Here she is, the Leander in all of her glory! I spent the better part of the day, making the area below deck shine! Not enough time to take her out on Lake Michigan though, and a bit too windy to sail today.

My first Scissor Fob

This is the American Star Fob by Sweetheart Tree.

The stitching itself didn't take very long, but the finishing sure did! As my dear friend Collette in England would say "it was very fiddly!"

It was stitched on 32 count linen, with DMC floss and Mill Hill Beads. The star charms are from Sweetheart Tree.

I finished these two teapots last week. I am now half way finished with my "year of teapots".

I don't know why the fabric looks so funky when I copy them on to my blog, they look just fine in Photoshop or Picture viewer.

A visit to Durham

After I left Richmond, I spent a day in Williamsburg, and then drove down to Durham to visit my 2 favorite young men. I got to do things I used to do when my kids were younger: went to a Middle School awards presentation, a soccer game, a movie, picked one up from school, reminded them to practice piano, etc. It was great, but I am glad I don't have to do it every day anymore!

Here are Nicky and Joey, my very favorite nephews!
