Spool Tree Ornaments

I finished these ornaments recently, and love how they turned out.
This is from the 2007 Just Cross Stitch Ornamant Issue, and is by Sue Hillis.

I stitched these on 32 count antique white linen, with DMC floss and added some red and green buttons.

This chart is one of my favorite Christmas ornaments ... so simple but so apropos ... and a very easy stitch ... one that can be dressed up with silk floss or dressed down with good old DMC ... versatility plus.

Yours are lovely, I like the square finish ... I've always finished them as a triangle but I do believe I will change.

Oh Eva, those are truly gorgeous. I have promised myself that I will make some ornaments before Christmas 2009. So far, I've gone one done. LOL

Hey -- nice pic of yourself! I love putting a face with a name. :-)
