Baby's First Christmas

In a previous post, I mentioned that I would like to make an ornament each year for each of my grandchildren. Since Logan is already 2 years old, I needed to catch up! I have already shown you the monkey ornament and the sock monkey ornament for Logan.

Here are two Baby's First Christmas ornaments that are not yet ornamentified! One is for Logan and one is for Natalie. I am all caught up......until next year.

Edited to ad:

The design is a free chart on the Victoria Sampler website.

Ok, so I am new to the cross stitch thing. I would love some friendly advice from fellow cross stitchers. I found an ornament for my 11 year at a fabric store in town, but it is a kit and includes all the stuff I need to make it. I would like to make this one for my 9 month old, but I have never done it without the kit. Do I just go back to the fabric store and buy thread at the closest colors I can find? I am taking any advice I can get here b/c I CAN NOT find a kit online that I can afford. Thanks so much
