Another Framing Frenzy!

I tend to put off framing and finishing, I would much rather stitch. If framing weren't so expensive, I would have it done, but I have learned to frame things myself to save a few dollars.

Patsy had ask that I show her how it's done in exchange for some finishing work, so a week ago last Sunday she and my sister came over and we framed!

I hadn't done any framing in awhile, so the first piece took me quite some time to complete, but as the afternoon wore on, it because easier and faster. I framed all seven of these pieces and Trudi framed 3 pieces. Patsy took notes and decided that it didn't look so hard after all.

Looks great Eva! I'm with you, framing is so outrageous! We all know to go to second hand, thrift stores, yard sales whatever to get frames. I also go to the 10 dollar stores and buy tacky art pictures and tear them apart lol, just to get at the frames ($10 is better than $60-$100!!)

your work looks grand ... I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to learn to frame my own work as well ... going to a professional only for those very special pieces.

I SO agree!! I would much rather stitch, although it does make me quite happy to see something framed/finished! Framing is SO expensive!! I wish I could do my own too. I just don't know where to begin, or have the tools I need.

They look awesome!

I have tried framing, and will definitely do as many as I can myself...unless I have a "masterpiece" to be framed. It is amazing how many cool frames you can find for a very reasonable price.
