Bundesverdienstkreutz

This evening, my father was presented with the Bundesverdienstkreutz,

Verdienstorden der Bundesrepublik, Deutschland (Federal Cross of Merit, Order of Merit of the Federal Repbublic of German) for over 50 years of service to promote the German language, culture and customs abroad. It is the highest tribute the Federal Republic of Germany can pay to individuals for services to the nation.

The award was presented at a small reception in his honor by The Consul General, Wolfgang Drautz, this evening.

We are all very proud of Dad!
